Questions people ask

Do I have to be religious to take part?
No. The program's founder framed it in faith and named it after a parable, and the material can be religious or secular. Anyone may take part. Nobody is asked about religion or church membership.
Is this therapy?
No. Mentors are volunteers. The program sits alongside professional care and never replaces it. If you need a doctor or counselor, your mentor will encourage you to see one.
How do I join?
By invitation from a program coordinator, who gives you an invite code. You must be 18 or older. Until a pilot starts you can try the demo.
Is the program running now?
Available as a demonstration. Pilot invitations are made by coordinators only. The framework is written down; a pilot waits on leadership review.
What does it cost?
Nothing to mentees or mentors.
How much time does it take?
Two deliberate hours of Tier I a day for a mentee, and contact with a mentor 2 or 3 times a week at first, then about weekly. Mentors give a few hours a week for up to three mentees.
Why two hours?
The founder's rule is that fuel must enter before it can be spent. Two deliberate hours a day of mentoring, learning and spiritual practice or reflection is the fuel everything else runs on.
What does my mentor see?
Your goals, your Tier I minutes for study, calls and reading, your weekly reads of seven areas, your monthly review and your contact log. Never your spiritual practice, which stays on your device if you track it at all.
What languages does the app use?
English, Spanish, French and Haitian Creole. The non-English text is a draft translation until it has been reviewed.
Does the app work offline?
Yes, for reading what you last loaded and for logging contacts, Tier I time and weekly checks. They send when you are back online.
What happens if I slip?
Your mentor can bring contact back to 2 or 3 times a week. It is a normal part of the path, and nobody is judged for it.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Settings has a button to download everything and a button to delete your account.
